In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Flash Entertainment went ‘pink’ on Friday 21st and 28th of October. Staff came dressed in pink to express solidarity for the fight against breast cancer, and to remind women about the importance of getting their annual mammogram during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year, Flash Entertainment also held a raffle draw for staff who took part and exciting giveaways were announced for the lucky winners.

As part of Flash Entertainment’s commitment to supporting the communities we operate in and to provide positive contributions, a donation drive was organised throughout the month of October, on behalf of Emirates Red Crescent Society. The money donated will go towards supporting women with breast cancer during diagnosis and treatment. In addition, this will be used to assist the needs of the community for breast cancer screening, research, and funding breast cancer support groups.

According to the UAE Ministry of Health, cancer is the second-leading cause of death for women in the UAE1, with breast cancer being the most common form of cancer accounting for 21.4 percent of all cancer cases recorded in 20212. In the UAE, one in eight women develop breast cancer during their lifetime, with 87 per cent of breast cancer cases occurring after the age of 40, between ages 45-543.
