Flash Entertainment’s Regional Artist Spotlight provides featured artists with unique performance opportunities through RAS Sessions, the live performance arm of Regional Artist Spotlight. RAS Sessions see artists perform renditions of their own tracks and cover well-known songs and have been held at the opening weekend of Ain Dubai – the world’s largest observation wheel, and intimate acoustic performances at Expo 2020 Dubai.
RAS Sessions at Ain Dubai
RAS Sessions at Ain Dubai was the first of its kind show that only included artists from the region. Six featured artists on Regional Artist Spotlight performed at the opening of the world’s biggest observation wheel on 22 October 2021. RAS Sessions at Ain Dubai featured the first ever performances in the attraction’s cabins, media interviews and incredible performances in front of thousands on the main stage. Virgin Radio Dubai’s Maz and James from ‘The Hitlist’ were the hosts for the night, hyping up the crowd before every performance. Thousands were in attendance to watch Layla May (known as “michele.” at the time), Molham, Shébani, Mougleta, Moh Flow and Freek take the stage to perform their original songs.
RAS Sessions at EXPO 2020 Dubai
The second Regional Artist Spotlight live performances - RAS Sessions at Expo 2020 Dubai - took place on 26 March 2022 at Virgin Radio Dubai’s studio at Expo 2020 Dubai. The sessions saw four featured artists Freek, Layla May (formerly known as “michele.”), Shébani and Jindi perform renditions of their original songs and covers of well-known songs.
