Active Parks is a DCD initiative developed in partnership with ADSC, DMT and the municipalities of Abu Dhabi city, Al Ain city, and Al Dhafrah region, and Community Management Department - Al Dhafrah Region Affairs, designed to encourage community members across Abu Dhabi to utilise public parks and green spaces to pursue an active, outdoor lifestyle.

Completely free of charge, Active Parks utilised the abundance of green spaces and public parks across Abu Dhabi, Al Dhafrah and Al Ain to highlight to all community members aged 8 years old and above that physical activity can be done anywhere.

In its launch phase (Dec 30 2021 to 26 Jan 2022), Active Parks comprised of a four-week fitness participation and education programme managed by qualified and insured instructors.
