Abu Dhabi, UAE – Tuesday, 2 July 2019: Calling all aspiring musicians in the region! Following four successful years of showcasing and supporting incredible talent, Flash Entertainment’s Yasalam Emerging Talent Competition (ETC) is back with another unmissable opportunity. Singers and vocalists across the Gulf are encouraged to share their voice for the chance to perform as part of the wider Yasalam festival. Celebrating its fifth year as the region’s leading music competition, ETC provides aspiring artists with a unique platform to rise to fame amongst homegrown GCC talent and launch their professional careers. To enter, musicians and bands need to upload links of their music, images and demos through the Yasalam website ( before 11:59pm on Sunday 30 September 2019. Once all entries are submitted, a judging panel formed of top industry specialists will select ten acts to compete at ETC 2019. The top ten will undergo a four-week training and mentorship program which will test their creativity and provide them with guidance, vital skills and regional music expertise. The musicians will then be granted a live acoustic performance at a venue in the capital, putting their newly acquired knowledge and skills to the test in front of a buzzing crowd where the judges will announce their top three finalists. The three music hopefuls will perform at the grand finale between 28 November and 1 December, at the du Arena where the winner will be crowned in front of a global Yasalam After-Race Concert audience. The winner will secure phenomenal prizes including live performance opportunities throughout the 2019 FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX, and residency during the 2019-2020 season, media coaching and publicity, studio access and so much more! The competition was launched in 2015 as part of the Yasalam festival, produced by Flash Entertainment, one of the largest host city festivals celebrating the Abu Dhabi race weekend. Previous winners of ETC include hip hop group S.O.S., singer Hasan Malik, musician Danny Aridi and last year’s winner FAFA who has performed for music sensations including hip-hop icon The Weekend, rock n’ roll legends Guns N’ Roses and signed with Universal Music MENA. Last year’s winner FAFA said: “ETC was an incredible experience as it was the stepping stone for me to break into the region’s music industry. I was very lucky to work with some amazing people as well as top industry experts who helped to guide me through the process.
